When making your reservation, please let us know if your travel plans include your pet and we’ll have a welcome basket awaiting your arrival. The welcome basket includes a pet bed, towel, sheet, placemat, food and water bowls as well as walking papers for use during your stay. While there is a cookie jar for you, we haven’t forgotten your pet - Fred’s Cookie Jar (named in honor of a beloved resort mascot) is filled with tasty doggie treats. For your convenience, Fred’s Foot and Paw Wash is located near our beachfront path and we always have extra walking papers available at the front desk. Due to a significant increase in guest requests, we now have designated half of our guest rooms as pet friendly.
Annual Dog Show on the Beach
In celebration of our pets, Surfsand Resort created and continues to be the home of the Annual Dog Show on the Beach – a benefit for the local Clatsop County Animal Shelter. Every year this event gets bigger, crazier and grows as a much loved Surfsand family tradition. Truth told, it’s more like a dog festival with dogs of every shape, size, mix and many that are in a category all their own.
